e' bella Cagliari sempre

Buon Giorno Tutti!!!
Well another week down and this one has been very nice and we have had some big events taking place! So, on Saturday night all of the Anziani on Sardegna came down to our apartment and stayed overnight for the huge conference in Rome. At 3 in the morning the next day we woke up and headed to the Cagliari airport and caught a plane to Rome. We drove to a big really nice and fancy hotel and we went and with all of the missionaries in the Rome and Napoli zones, we had a little missionary conference with Elder M. Russel Ballard. It was really cool because he spoke directly to the missionaries in the Italy Rome mission and addressed our concerns that we are facing each day in missionary work. He let us ask questions at the end and it was really cool. When this was finished he shook every missionaries hand as they walked out of the room. We then all went into the giant conference room where a lot of members and other people were going to for the reorganization of the Rome stake and the creation of a new stake. It was a really cool meeting and once all the business was taken care of, Elder Ballard had the two Stake presidents and their councelors stand up and also President Waddoups. He then had all of the full-time missionaries come up to the front of the room and  he stated that we were here for the great purpose of bringing people to Christ and that we could not do it without all of the members that we were standing in front of. He told the members that in order to prepare for the finish of the temple they need to lift where they stand and help this work go forward. It was a really amazing conference and I am so happy that I was a part of it. Elder Ballard gave a great talk to the two stakes. Well, after it was over I was able to say hi to all of my friends from Caserta because the Napoli zone had come up. That was awesome! So, Caserta became a ward of this new stake and also Cagliari is a new ward of this stake, so that is really cool! We will now have a Bishop and everything! It is going to be such a blessing being apart of a stake!
Well, this week Anziano Davids and I continued to work hard out on the streets of Cagliari. We talk to every person we pass and it is awesome! We have found so many good contacts and by the end of this week we should have some investigators. We did teach one man named G* and he is now are investigator, so that is really exciting! He is very nice, but sometimes he tries to teach us when we are teaching him. The work here is really good and it feels really satisfying. Just being out on the street all day is so tiring and so cool! I love stopping people and inviting them to hear the message of the restored gospel. It has been great on the street and I do really enjoy it, at the same time though, I want to teach some lessons. This next week should be a lot better with that. We have a big list of people to call now, so it will be great!
So, on Sunday night when we got home from the conference I felt really tired and I felt like I just wanted to sit down and rest. We still had about an hour left of time that we could find. I recently read a great quote from a very successful swimmer. He said that the key to his success was that he "Kicked when he didn't want to kick, and stroked when he didn't want to stroke." I thought of this and I got the strength to go outside and continue talking with people. It was awesome! I know that when we kick and stroke when we don't want to kick and stroke we will find great success soon afterwards. I am so excited to see the success that comes in Cagliari. Anziano Davids and I are just rocking it and it is so much fun here! We are getting along great and working hard and doing our best here. I love it in Cagliari. The people are so nice. A lot of our rejections on the street go something like this... "No thank you, I am not very interested, but you are great boys, so keep doing good work." It is so funny. The people here are a whole lot nicer than in the Napoli area. We still get the cold hand sometimes but, it is a lot better here. Well, this week has been awesome and I am so happy here! It is the best!
Sincerely,
Anziano Burton
