Buon Giorno Tutti!
Well, I am staying in Cagliari! It
will be great! I am still with Anziano Davids and no real big changes
for us. As for Anziano Miller there is a pretty interesting change from
transfers... He will be getting a new companion and it is Anziano Durham
from Holladay UT... Pretty stinking cool! It is going to be so much fun
serving in the same city as Anziano Durham! Pretty strange that it
would happen because we knew each other before the mission and stuff,
played sports and all that. It will be really cool! I am excited!
This week has been pretty good, we did two scambios
this week so it kind of filled it and it made it a little different for
me. I went with Anziano Miller at the beginning of the week and that
went really well. I learned some good things from the scambio and it was
fun doing a scambio with the zone leader. The second scambio I did was
with Anziano Sergent up in Oristano. It went really well and we did some
good finding in the city. That was more or less my week this week.
Pretty busy with travel and stuff.
This week we fortunately saw some good successes with finding
people to teach. We have found three people in three different methods
of finding and we are very excited to be teaching them this week. It
will be great. One of them is from English course, one we met at the
internet cafe last Monday, and the other was found in a park in
Cagliari. It has been a good week. Unfortunately we didn't have any
investigators come to church yesterday so that was kind of a bumber.
Everyone we invited had excuses and it was kind of rough. We are really
hoping to have better success with that this next week and we also think
that we will be able to set some baptismal dates this week. One of our
new investigators named G* is really nice. He is just a young guy
who believes in Christ and wants to hear what we have to say.
This is Anziano Leortcher who is leaving this transfer
because Anziano Durham is coming. This is a tower that is older than the
time of Christ I think…
Oh, yesterday we had the stake presidency from Rome come and
officially organize us as a Ward! That is pretty exciting! Our new
bishop is awesome, his name is Vescovo (Bishop) C*. I feel like
with the new leaders in the ward we are going to see the fire really
catch in Cagliari! It will be fantastic to be here for that! I love it
here!
This week I have really been working on studying Italian. It is
really hard and it feels like it isn't getting anywhere when I study,
but I am sure it will pay off in the end. Well, sorry I don't have a lot
to write this week. It has been a little bit different because of the
scambios and stuff. I have been traveling to different places and it has
made me a little tired this week.
Well, until next week! Thanks for everything!
Sincerely,
Anziano Burton
Anziano Sergent with an member from Oristano.
