Summer here will probably kill me...

BUONGIORNO!!!

I sweat a lot.

Gelato is good.

Things in Lecce are starting to heat up a little bit as the tilt of the earth begins to point the northern hemisphere towards the sun. I am having a hard time just like last year adjusting to the heat and humidity. I find myself often missing the dry heat of Utah and the cool mountains and what not. Oh well, Italy is pretty stinking tight. I am lucky.

It has been a good week, we have seen some great successes here in Lecce and I am happy to be here! First of all, we were able to set two baptismal dates this week for the 21st of June. One with G*, the husband of a member here, and the other with E* the grandmother of that family. Both of them came to Church and are progressing really well. That was the big highlight of the week! We also went and had lunch with them before our first lesson and they fed us American cheeseburgers. That was awesome! We are really happy for them and the earnest searching that they are doing for the truth. It is great! This week we also found two new investigators. Unfortunately, we have already dropped one of them because when he came to the appointment he kind of just walked past us on the other side of the street and kept walking. We called him and he said he would be 5 min. He kept walking and we didn't really see him again. That was unfortunate. The other new investigator is this old Philipino man. He is so nice. He was just smiling a ton when we taught him in his house. He told us he would read the Book of Mormon every night, so hopefully he follows through on that. We are really happy to be teaching him! This week we did some good finding and everything is going well.

I SAW A WOLF THIS WEEK! That was cool, some guy we stopped had a wolf from czechlslovakia on a leash! It was huge! I unfortunately, didn't get a picture. It was all muscle and stuff. I did some soul searching and I believe that my spirit animal is the wolf. Anyway. I am super happy with the work and how everything is going here in Lecce! It is progress! Anziano Petersen is a good guy! Also, yesterday, brother Ward from Caserta and his family came down! It was cool to get an update from the American base and stuff! I miss it a little. Rootbeer was nice. Well, I hope everything is going well for everything! Italy IS AWESOME! Thanks for all the support and everything!

I need to stay cool this summer, if anyone has good ideas for not sweating and stuff every single day, suggestions are welcome!

Sincerely,

Anziano Burton
