YES! The heat is almost over...

BUONGIORNO!!!

Well, it has been a great week and a lot has happened within the last few days. Almost too much to even write. Overall things are going great and I am enjoying being in Oristano. Anziano Flynn and I are both still getting used to the area and the work. It has been kind of hard (This week is the famous italian holiday, Ferragosto, when everyone goes to the beach) We did see some good things though and it has been nice! So, on Wednesday we did a long trip to some of the furthest parts of our area haha, we have maybe the biggest area in all of Italy... With a member we travelled out to a city on the East coast named Orosei, google earth it. We met with a part member family and had a little lesson with G*, the husband who is still hesitant about getting in the water. The lesson went well and the spirit was there. He is a great guy and is so ready to just fully accept the gospel. He should be a member. His wife and oldest son are going to go do baptisms for the dead in the temple in Madrid in October, so we are going to try and get him baptized so that he can join with them for the first time entering the temple. I think that it will work out. I hope so, he is a fantastic guy and will make a great member. Well, on this trip we also met with a newly reacitvated family. We had lunch with them and it went great! It was Anziano Flynn's first Italian meal. He enjoyed it. I get along with him! He is a great worker and when we are out on the street he goes and gets the people. I love working with him. Well, we then drove back to Oristano and on the way we stopped in Nuoro, a pretty good sized city. It is on the top of a mountain and it absolutely beautiful! There is a famous statue of Jesus on the top of a nearby Mountain, and we drove past and took a look at it. It was really incredible being in "mountains" haha. Probably still not quite as good as Utah's mountains, but it brought back memories.

Well, on Thursday we had zone conference and that went well! I loved it! Anziano Faggioli gave his final testimony and he did sooooo great! It was such a fantastic oppurtunity to see it! I had a great time at the conference in Cagliari and I learned a lot! I also saw Anziano Del Dotto, so that was great to see him and catch him up on what happened in Lecce. So funny, in this one conference I had a companion from Caserta, an Anziano from Lecce and it all took place in Cagliari while I was with my new companion in Oristano. Strange days. I loved it though and being in Cagliari felt great! It is such a nice and organized city, all of Sardegna is!

Well, on Friday we had Deep Cleaning of our apartment all day. It went well and now it is a really nice organized chill place to be. I like the apartment here. It feels good. Well, overall it has been a great week! We have hit the streets some more. It got a little hard when there weren't people outside, but it will get soooooo much better from here on out. We are about to see some great things as missionaries here in Oristano. The branch has some big plans for this area and we are going to see great things!

Well, Happy Birthday Annie! 15 is pretty old haha!

Sincerely,
Anziano Burton
