Riceviamo di più!

Buongiorno Tutti!

2 Anziani di più???

So, this week has gone well! We got transfer calls this last Saturday
and it turns out that Anziano Flynn and I are staying together for
another transfer. It will be great! I am excited for it all! Also, we
have two more Anziani who will be joining us here in Oristano. Anziano
Del Dotto will be joining us and he will be training a new missionary,
so we don't know who it will be. I am really excited to have Anziano
Del Dotto back in the same house as me, he is such a nice guy and we
got along really well in Lecce. It will be great! The members here are
really excited because they have been asking for two extra
missionaries for a very long time. I think it will help Oristano a
lot.

Well, this week we did a nice little scambio with the Cagliari
anziani. It was awesome because i went with Anziano Faggioli. This was
his last week in the mission. Pretty crazy. I am so happy that i was
able to be with him for a part of his final week. The scambio went
well and we had a great time catching up and talking about everything.
He is so awesome! It is kind of sad to see him go. He has been an
awesome missionary and district leader here in sardegna. I will miss
him.

Well, the rest of our week was spent doing finding and trying to
figure out some things for Anziano Flynn's permesso to stay in the
country. That is always fun. We had to go take a culture class that
took 6 hours to complete. It was so long and so hot in the little room
we were in. It also turns out that Anziano Flynn has to take a
language class that will take something like 2 months. That will be
another fun thing that we have to do... Since when i got my permesso
they have changed some of the requirements for getting the permesso.
Now it takes longer. Hopefully it won't disrupt our work here too
much.

Overall life in Oristano goes on. This week we finally made some
contact with R*. She is doing well! She told us that one thing she
picked up from the conference she saw was a video of one of the
apostles bearing testimony of the Book of Mormon. She was still having
trouble reading so we set up a little system. Every night we have been
calling her or sending a message to remind her. So far it has helped
her read more. That is pretty cool! Hopefully by the time we meet
again she will have read and prayed and we will be able to go on in
our teaching. She still has a lot of interest to learn more, she is
just very busy. She wasn't able to come to church because of a prior
commitment. We hope the best in that. As for other work this week has
felt very slow. We have done a pretty solid amount of finding with
little to show for it. Kind of rough. It is alright though. We have
tried to get some of our english course students to meet with us to no
avail. Hopefully we will start to see the water move here a little
more. Oh, also today i became a man and shaved with a straight edge
razor. That was fun but slightly scary. I feel super manly though.

Well, that is about it for today. The weather here has stayed kind of
warm this week and that is great because I sweat a lot. That is always
enjoyable right? Until next week I suppose...

Sincerely,

Anziano Burton
