Un nuovo membro della Chiesa

Buongiorno Tutti!!!

Il battesimo è andato bene!

This week has been good, I can't complain too much here in Oristano. Life is overall good here and we are seeing some pretty great things happening. The first awesome thing that happened this week was the baptism of U*. It went fantastic! We gathered in a small group on the beach early in the morning just as the sun had risen and it was so calm and peaceful. The water was just still and very nice. We had a very simple but spiritual service and the spirit was there as we stood singing hymns on the beach and hearing testimonies and everything. Anziano Flynn baptized U* and it went really well. It will be the first of many baptisms for him I bet. Ever since we met with U* on a Monday evening there was a nice connection between him and Anziano Flynn and they got along well. It was cool. The confirmation the next day went well one of the members of the branch presidency performed it. U* was one of the more prepared people I have ever taught, it was cool to see him take this awesome step in life and to understand very well what it implied. He is already planning on attending the temple with his mother and soon as occasion permits. He will be a fantastic member. He is heading back up towards Milano today. It was a very nice baptism and everything.

As for everything else this week, things are going well! We are seeing good things and the work is going forward. Unfortunately R* was not able to meet us this week. We tried to stay in contact with her as much as we could, but she had to get her car repaired and said she was busy. She wasn't able to make it on Sunday to church because of other things, but she said that we should meet Tuesday night, so we are hoping and praying that it all works out. She is a good lady. We did have some other investigators in church this week, but we weren't able to talk with them because Anziano Flynn was sick in bed with the flu or something all day yesterday. That was a little bit of a bummer for the work in general. We were going to get out and do quite a bit of finding in the evening, but everything works out in the end. This week we will work doubly hard to get the most out of our time that we can.

Well, this week has been good and I am happy. I am ready to take on another week of work and I am ready to become closer to God. Life is beautiful and the light in life shines all the brighter because of the Atonement of Christ. Even with our many mortal weaknesses, we can overcome and become better people.

Sincerely,

Anziano Burton
