Buon Giorno Tutti!!!
This week has been good! The numbers were a little bit down this week, but overall things went really well I feel like. We have been teaching lessons and it is good! G* is making progress still and he is progressing really well. We are very satisfied with teaching him and we are thinking about moving his baptismal date up a week, we are not sure yet though. So this week we have had some problems with our other investigators with baptismal dates. Our African investigator E* was in Rome for a lot of the week so we were not able to meet with him. Also, O* and A* were not able to make it to the lessons that we set up for different reasons. It was kind of frustrating. This week has just been a lot more slow feeling for some reason.
Our District here!
Anziano Davids and I are getting a long very well still and we are both working hard. It is great to be working with him and every day he helps me to become better. This transfer we have some good goals and one of them is to always speak Italian with eachother. It will be hard but it will help us out a lot with the Language. So, last night we had a lesson with T*, M*, and S*. We taught the first lesson and it went really well. We taught it with the spirit and it was just so good. At the end we left them with a soft baptismal invite. M* accepted that if she recieved an answer about the Book of Mormon she would be baptized. T* was a little more hesitant. He said that he doesn't know if he wants to read and pray to find out. We asked him why but he did not tell us. It was kind of hard and we are not sure why he did not want to pray. We will continue teaching them though.
All around the city are these whales. It is kind of strange haha.
This week we started working on some less-active work. We have started a new program where we go around and visit members and then give them a "Lost Sheep" to find. So far the members are hopping on board pretty well. We have started it off with just a few people but we will see how it goes. We are excited to try and get some people back to Church.
I am happy here in Cagliari still. It is just an awesome city. We met a nice Jewish lady from Israel the other day and on the bus talking with her she invited us to have a meal with her. She was very nice, so now we have lunch set up with her this week. She started talking to us about how she has been to the BYU Jerusalem center and how Israel and the Church get a long really well and how we are very similar in beliefs about some things. It was interesting.
Here is a staged picture, but, this is actually T*, M*, and S*.
Well, kind of just a normal week of missionary work, but things are going very well. Both Anziano Davids and I are enjoying working here and it is going great!
Hope all is well at home! Love you all! Thanks for all of your letters and everything! You are the best!
Sincerely,
Anziano Burton
