Rain Clouds Over Cagliari

Buon Giorno Tutti!

Well, this week has been kind of a rough week in Cagliari. A lot of crazy things have been happening. So, first off our investigator G* ended up not being baptized because unfortunately the smoking is still a problem for him...  We still need to meet with him. It has been a really frustrating week. All of our work has just kind of fallen through the floor and we are just watching it and it is just out of our control right now. O* says that she still wants to be baptized, but it has been hard for her to meet with us. E* has not been answering his phone. Everything is just kind of going bad really quickly. It really hasn't been easy this week.

Here is Anziano Davids in front of a cool statue.

On top of that, this week the missionaries were in charge of the whole Halloween party, so we had to put in a lot of time to get that figured out and set up. It turned out to be really fun and really great and tons of people came and probably half were non-members. Everything went great until the very end and then two members got into a huge argument and things just kind of went really sour really fast. We as missionaries don't even know what to do. Things have fallen out really fast. We have hardly any work all of a sudden. Something is just slipping away and it has been kind of difficult. This next week should be better. It is just kind of a crazy week with a lot going on and a lot of problems that came up.
Here is our Halloween Party!

I am tired. Like I feel really tired. This week I just haven't slept as well and I have been having a really hard time keeping my mind focused. On Sunday we still had a baptismal service for one of the Sorelle investigators. It went well and I had the opportunity of giving a talk on baptism. That was very fun and I really enjoyed it. It was probably the best I have ever given a talk in Italian. I feel like that last two weeks my Italian has taken some pretty big steps and it has felt great being able to deliver the message with better grammar and so on. Uh, I am so tired. It has been a big week and a lot of difficulties. I read some verses in the Book of Mormon this morning that helped. It talked about how through faith in Jesus Christ anything is possible and if we humble ourselves and approach everything with meekness we will be made strong and everything will work out for our good. It was very good to read that. It has been kind of rough still. I am hoping that this next week is better. It is looking like we will have to rebuild a lot of stuff.

The P* family is doing good and A* asked us some amazing questions that were perfect for the Plan of Salvation lesson. We are going to be meeting with them this week and hopefully we will be able to teach it and answer his deep questions of the heart. Well, life is good still in Cagliari. This place is awesome! I have just had to learn some lessons here is all. I am still learning for sure.
Well, Until next week!
Sincerely,
Anziano Burton
