Buongiorno tutti!
Anziano Burton
Ciao! Spero che le allergie non sono troppo male... Well, another week down in Lecce. This transfer is flying. Things are going pretty good overall! It has been a nice week but a little bit crazy. On Thursday we had a specialized training with only the Zone Leaders here. It was in Bari, so we had to take a train up there and everything. It all went well and it was fun seeing 7 people who I served with on Sardegna as well as 2 Olympus alumni... Kinda strange but cool. This week has been a little bit busy with the trip to Bari and other meetings and things that we had to set up as branch presidency counsellors. Overall the work has been fine though.
Our investigator G* called us last tuesday to tell us he is going to Albania for the week, so he couldn't meet, but he expressed enthusiasm to continue and prepare for the 17th of May, we are hoping he will be able to make it by then. Hopefully he will be free to meet this week. He is such a good guy, super humble and super kind and loving. M* is doing well, but we haven't been able to meet with him this week. We have just been keeping daily contact with him. He has been crazy busy with work because he has to pay his rent by the end of the month. We are hoping that everything goes well with that for him. Then he will be able to meet us more. This week we visited with Sorella N* and we ended up doing a fast with her to help her overcome coffee. It went really well and we are happy with it. She came to Church and really enjoyed it. It was a pretty awesome thing, she was sitting on the front row paying close attention to the speakers and everything. She has been making good progress. Also, when we taught her yesterday her son Davide came in and watched the Restoration film with us. He seemed a little interested and stuff. His mom was saying stuff like, "Look, these Anziani performed a miracle with me and coffee, now they can perform a miracle with you and make you religious." It was funny. He responded by saying"Step by step" We are hoping big things for him! Also, we met with O*, the ex jehovahs witness. We read some stuff in the Book of Mormon about how the bible was changed by the world and stuff and he loved it! He got so excited and stuff. It was pretty awesome! We got him to commit to reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. We figure that if he gets that solid base with the Book the rest will come. We should be meeting him on Wednesday this week. It will be great! This week we have been doing a decent amount of finding here. We drew with some Chalk on a sheet on the street and stopped people for English Course. Our numbers have been dwindling a little, but we will get them back up. We are hoping to turn English Course into a strong finding tool here.
Well, other than that it rained a lot here... Like every day at least a little bit. It has been nice and cool though. Oh, in Church this sunday we had a record 49 people come. It was so awesome! We were really happy. People filled all the seats and stuff haha, it was great and really crowded! Well, that is about it for today. A pretty good week! We are content with things!
Thanks for the package mom!!! i love it haha! You are the best! LOVE YOU ALL!
Sincerely,
Anziano Burton
