America, America, America... And Pizza

Buongiorno Tutti!!!

Well, it has been a good week! We have had a good time overall and have seen some good things happen here in Lecce. I am pretty happy! Probably the highlight of the week was us having a little party for the 4th of July here in Lecce. We went to our favorite pizzeria here and gave them some blue food coloring and then they made us red, white, and blue pizza. It was pretty awesome! It tasted like freedom and liberty, which was pretty cool! That was probably the funnest thing we did this week. All of the guys who worked at the pizzeria were taking pictures and stuff of the blue pizzas as they were making them and cooking them. It was pretty funny!

Well, as for the work this week. It has still been pretty slow with the summer continuing on. There were some more Italians on the streets this week, so that made it nicer. We walked for miles and miles trying to stop many many people. My legs have become quite tired this week, but it has been good and every night I have just hit my bed and about died. We did have a lesson with G* where we set a baptismal date for the 12th of July but then on Sunday we talked with him at Church and he said he had went on a bike ride and prayed and he didn't feel that the 12th was right, so we will talk more about it tomorrow with him. He is soooooo close to being baptized. Really all he needs is the commitment, the interview, and then the actual baptismal service. We are just trying to help him make it. He is a great guy. E* is still praying, reading, keeping commitments and working to find an answer. She is just making sure it is the right thing to do and wants to be sure.

This week we didn't meet with M* and he has kind of dropped off the map. We actually are wondering if he went back to Albania which is a pretty probable thing. If so, I hope he went to the Church right next to his home. He is a good guy. This week we got two new people at English Course and one of them requested a book of mormon from us and to learn more about the Church, so we are  hoping to teach them this week.

It is hot here... The nights have been kind of rough staying asleep for all four of us in the Lecce household. We are all pretty tired in the morning because we wake up from the heat in the night. Kind of hard when all four of us are out walking all day long and getting really tired already.

This week we walked out to a place called Cavallino and met with a less active and her husband. They were nice and it was cool that we got in the door. On the way back we walked next to a big field that is one of the pictures. Well, that is about it for our wonderfully American week!

Seth, get better soon bro! Love you man!!! Sam, work stinking hard on your mission and love every minute of it! It is a good time!

Sincerely,

Anziano Burton
