Buongiorno Tutti!
It has been another nice and warmly humid week!
This week has gone well! We were able to get a few appointments with members and we have left some pretty good spiritual thoughts. That is nice! It is way easier having an Italian companion and getting member appointments. They just click a lot more easily. So, I have been eating a little better because of it. Well, yesterday we had some cool things happen. Because Presidente Scordari was gone, I presided at the Sacrament meeting. That was pretty strange, never done that in my life. I also gave a talk in Church about charity so that was pretty cool also! It went well and the members told me my Italian is getting better. We also announced the baptism of G* next Saturday. We are getting everything organized and we think that everything will go really well. We haven't been able to meet with him this last week because he was on vacation with the family, but we have been communicating a lot on the phone to get things organized. It is pretty awesome! I am way excited for that awesomeness. It has been a little while since I have seen someone go under the water, so it will be a welcome sight.
The rest of our work has been going well. We have visited and seen some less active members this last week and that has been good. We are still doing a lot of finding on empty streets and empty parks, but the work is still looking up for the most part. The summer here is rough, it is not the easiest thing in the world to be out and about in the dead heat of the afternoon when everybody is at the beach. It is good though.
Well, last night we went over to the Giannini family's house and ate an amazing Lasagna. Can't complain too much about the food here in Lecce. It is pretty stinking good.
Well, transfer calls are coming this next Saturday. That will be cool! I have a feeling that I will be leaving Lecce, just a feeling, but we will see what happens. I am excited and nervous as always for the call, but it will be good. Anziano Kennedy and I have had a good transfer together and I am happy to have worked with him. Today for P Day we are trying to take a bus down to the tip of the heel of the boot, a place called San Maria Leuca I think. It will be cool! Thanks everybody for the support and everything!
Sincerely,
Anziano Burton
